Education and Specialties

Allison Wyman, MD, FACOG, FPMRS is board certified and fellowship trained physician who specializes in caring for women with bladder leakage and pelvic floor disorders. She is board certified in both Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) and Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Cleveland, Ohio at University Hospitals Case Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  She then completed a three-year surgical fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida. She has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatment options to offer women suffering with urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic organ prolapse.

Publications and Accreditations

Dr. Wyman has published over 25 peer-reviewed manuscripts, surgical videos, and awarded four grants to present her research work in pelvic floor disorders nationally. She has been recognized as a leader in the field and invited to provide national lectures and serve as a faculty member for national medical education courses. Dr. Wyman is a Senior Advisor to the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS) Fellows’ Pelvic Research Network (FPRN), Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGs/AAGL) division and American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) division along with serving internationally on the editorial board for IAPS (International Academy of Pelvic Surgery) society. 

Personal

Dr. Wyman is originally from Cleveland, Ohio area, but now lives in the surrounding area with her husband Gordon Wyman, a physical therapist, and are raising their large family of FIVE children under the age of 11.  On weekends they enjoy family time with all the outdoor activities available in the Tampa Bay area.
